The Textmeter

It measures an English text: it counts it and works out its readability. Same spirit as our Spanish "Textímetro", built our way: by rules, in your browser.

Readability. Two classic English formulas:

Flesch Reading Ease	0 (very hard) to 100 (very easy). Shorter sentences and shorter words raise the score.
Flesch–Kincaid Grade	The US school grade needed to read it (roughly 0–18).

The readability score is an estimate — English word length is hard to pin down exactly — so read it as a band, not a precise figure.

Frequency. The most repeated words (you can hide the stop words: the, of, and…). Everything happens in your browser.
